Voiceover Casting Director, Coach, & Actor
BIOGRAPHY
Libby Clearfield’s career path has covered a lot of ground and various time zones, with each new place bringing her one step closer to her creative home in voiceover.
Born and raised in Texas, she headed to New York to earn her BFA in Drama from NYU while acting and directing for the stage. She then moved to Israel, where she taught English and earned her MA in Education from Tel Aviv University. After a brief return to NYC, she headed to Los Angeles, where she focused on on-camera work before discovering voiceover in 2013… and then everything clicked.
Two years into her VO career, Libby stepped into the role of Casting Director and Producer at Coupe Studios in Boulder, Colorado, where she spent the next nine years helping clients find the right voice for their projects. Known for her keen ear and actor-first approach, she built a formidable roster of talent and cultivated strong relationships with agents and agencies worldwide, laying the foundation for her own company, Voiceover Activate, which launched in May 2024.
Voiceover Activate is a trifecta of Libby’s expertise and passions for coaching, casting, and acting. Her well-rounded experience gives her a rare dual perspective, speaking the language of the actor while understanding the nuances of production, resulting in an approach that is practical and creatively grounded in what actually works in today’s market.
Libby loves working with both seasoned pros and those newer to the industry, because every session offers something different and unique. She helps talent get out of their own way, trust their instincts, and deliver reads that feel human, specific, and bookable.
